Transportation accounts for approximately 28% of emissions in the United States and decarbonizing heavyduty transportation is critical for achieving net-zero carbon climate targets. In this 3-day virtual event, we willconvene thought leaders to discuss and explore the trade-offs and options for low carbon and zero-emissionheavy-duty transportation pathways.
The workshop will be a unique opportunity for people who are interested in the climate impact of heavy-dutytransportation to expand their network and community. Participants include heavy-duty transport regulatorsand policymakers, industry leaders in the battery electric and hydrogen electric space, and heavy-dutytransport leaders from trucks, buses, rail, marine, and aviation from around the world.
Day 1: Zero-Emission Heavy Duty Transport — Session 1: Trucks, Session 2: Buses
Day 2: Case Studies of Decarbonized Transport — Session 1: Industrial Machinery, Session 2: Rail
Day 3: Options for Decarbonizing — Session 1: Maritime Transport, Session 2: Air Transport
The Stanford Hydrogen Focus Group consists of affiliated faculty, industry members, governmentofficials, and thought leaders interested in hydrogen generation, distribution and storage, and utilization.
This Stanford Energy workshop is hosted by the Stanford Hydrogen Focus Group, in partnership with the Precourt Institute for Energy.
