Visiting Stanford

Airports

Three major airports serve the San Francisco Bay Area, including San Francisco International (SFO) and San Jose Mineta International (SJC)

Stanford University Campus - roughly equal distance from the San Francisco and San Jose airports. Although San Francisco is the largest of the two airports and offers the most airlines and flights, some visitors find that San Jose’s smaller size makes it a somewhat more convenient alternative, especially for domestic flights.

Stanford Redwood City (Cardinal Hall Conference Center) - approximately 15 miles closer to San Francisco International (SFO).

Parking

*Stanford University encourages guests to use our convenient public transportation whenever possible.

Visitor parking is available through the ParkMobile app, the mobile website, via QR code, or by texting PARK to ParkMobile at 77223. We recommend downloading the ParkMobile app before arriving at Stanford for faster and move convenient visitor parking payments. To learn more about parking rates, visit the How to Purchase a Visitor Parking Pass webpage.
